Run for Roots: Preserving Heritage, Paving Futures

I'm participating in a half marathon to support Holzstock, a quaint festival nestled in the heart of Transylvania, Romania. I invite you to join me in supporting this project who's bigger aim is to save our heritage. Now, you don't have to run alongside me (although that would be nice) but you can support by donating for this noble cause. Your sponsorship, big or small, will make a difference.

Heritage holds universal value, encompassing everything from architectural marvels and natural wonders to traditions, arts, and music. Its preservation is vital. I am convinced that safeguarding our cultural treasures will empower current and future generations to cultivate a sense of identity and unity, celebrate diversity, share wisdom, and foster mutual understanding in our globally connected society. In a small charming village in Transylvania, there’s a group of dedicated individuals doing just that. Their efforts, centered around a historic Fortified Church and its surrounding structures, involve meticulous restoration and the hosting of various cultural events. Their dedication is a source of inspiration to me, and it’s why I champion this cause from afar. The survival of this site relies on visitor engagement and widespread awareness —the more, the merrier.

This site holds a dear place in my heart, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supports me in this endeavour.

P.S. I am aware that in light of recent global events, the significance of this project may appear diminished. However, heritage conservation can only help in rebuilding our society, and empower us to embrace our diverse culture, ethnicity, sexual orientations and the list can go on.
